Empowering Gaza Farmers with Locally Manufactured Equipment

In its ongoing efforts to bolster the resilience of farmers impacted by the ongoing war, the Economic and Social Development Center of Palestine (ESDC) has provided locally manufactured irrigation lines to 111 farmers across the middle governorates of Gaza, including Deir al-Balah, Al-Zawayda, and Al-Nuseirat.

This activity is part of the “Strengthening resilience and improving economic opportunities of vulnerable groups and communities in Gaza and the Jordan Valley” project. The project is implemented by ESDC in partnership with Oxfam and funded by BMZ.

By supplying essential equipment tailored to the farmers’ needs, this initiative aims to ensure the continuity of agricultural production in Gaza. The use of locally sourced materials highlights ESDC’s dedication to supporting local industries while strengthening the agricultural sector and sustaining food production amidst significant challenges.
