The Economic and Social Development Center of Palestinian in partnership with Oxfam, has completed the distribution of 15,583 vegetable baskets as part of its humanitarian response to thousands of displaced people in middle and southern Gaza.

A total of 14,383 vegetable baskets were distributed with funding from

the Government of Canada, while 1,200 baskets were funded by the oPt Humanitarian Fund, United Nations OCHA occupied Palestinian territory.

This distribution is part of the ESDC’s ongoing efforts to support affected families and improve food security in the face of difficult circumstances. We remain committed to continuing our support and meeting the needs of these families to alleviate their suffering.

The project activities included employing many laborers to provide income for a group of heads of households in displacement areas, aiming to support the resilience of citizens in those areas. The project also aims to provide food amidst the difficulties these areas face in obtaining the minimum food requirements.
