ESDC brings the land back to life… and plants hope in Gaza.

In a renewed step reflecting its commitment to supporting farmers’ resilience and strengthening local food production, the Palestinian Center for Economic and Social Development (ESDC) has concluded a series of impactful agricultural activities as part of the “Agriculture-Based Livelihoods and Fresh Produce Revitalization Project in the Gaza Strip,” benefiting 143 farmers across the northern and southern areas of the Strip.

The project delivered several interventions that had a direct and meaningful impact on sustaining agricultural production, including:
🌱 Rehabilitation of a nursery in Gaza Governorate, bringing it back to life and enabling the provision of high-quality seedlings for farmers.
🌾 Rehabilitation of 50 dunums in Khan Younis Governorate, enhancing productivity and improving crop quality.
🏡 Establishment of 110 home gardens in Gaza and Middle Area Governorates, empowering families to grow fresh vegetables at home and strengthen their food security.

This project is implemented by ESDC, in partnership with Oxfam, and with the support of the occupied Palestinian territory Humanitarian Fund (oPt-HF), as part of ongoing efforts to empower farmers and boost their resilience under challenging conditions.
